Galaxy S24 Gets New Galaxy AI Features With One UI 9 Beta 2


Samsung is expanding its latest Galaxy AI features to older flagship phones.

The company has released One UI 9.0 Beta 2 for the Galaxy S24 series, bringing four AI-powered tools that first appeared on newer Galaxy devices. Alongside these additions, the update also includes bug fixes and stability improvements.

The new features are Call Brief, My FanCam, Now Brief Custom Cards, and Now Nudge.

Four New AI Features Arrive on the Galaxy S24

Call Brief is designed to make phone conversations easier to manage. It can surface useful information about the person calling, giving you relevant details directly on the screen while the call is taking place.

My FanCam is more focused on video. The feature can identify a particular person in an existing video and automatically crop the footage to keep that person in focus. It could be especially useful for family videos, concerts, or any recording where you want to follow one person among a crowd.

Samsung is also expanding Now Brief with Custom Cards. These cards bring selected information from sources such as Samsung Health, Samsung Weather, and preferred YouTube content into one place. Users can also schedule when a particular card should appear, either on specific days or every day.

Then there is Now Nudge, which uses the content currently displayed on your screen to offer relevant suggestions. Depending on what you are doing, it can surface calendar information, app shortcuts, Google Maps options, and autofill suggestions.

What This Means for Galaxy S24 Users

These features give the Galaxy S24 a useful refresh without requiring owners to move to a newer Samsung phone.

Now, Galaxy S24 owners enrolled in the beta program are getting access as well. The update shows Samsung continuing to extend newer AI experiences beyond its latest hardware, giving older flagship phones more reasons to stick around.

One UI 9.0 is still in beta, so the experience may change before the final release reaches Galaxy S24 devices more broadly. For now, though, the second beta gives S24 users an early look at several of Samsung's newer Galaxy AI tools.
