Samsung One UI 9 Update Expands to More Galaxy Phones

Samsung has started expanding One UI 9 beyond its newest Galaxy S26 flagship phones, bringing the company's latest software experience to a growing selection of Galaxy devices.

The rollout initially began with the Galaxy S26 series in South Korea before moving into additional markets. Samsung has now shared timelines for several older devices as well, although exact availability can vary depending on the country, carrier, and device.

The update focuses on several areas, including personalization, productivity, camera improvements, device management, and security.

Galaxy S26 Gets One UI 9 First

For example, if a conversation includes information about a reservation, Now Nudge can surface relevant details without requiring you to leave the conversation and search for them separately.

Interpreter Gets a More Useful Conversation View

Samsung is also improving its Interpreter app with a new Thread View.

The feature makes it easier to look back at previous translated exchanges instead of treating each translation as an isolated interaction.

That can be particularly useful during longer conversations where you need to reference something that was said earlier.

For travelers, multilingual conversations, and situations where several pieces of information need to be translated in sequence, having that context available can make the experience less fragmented.

Samsung is also making some of the less exciting parts of owning a phone easier to manage.

One UI 9 adds a Warranty and Care section directly within Settings. Instead of searching through paperwork or separate support pages, users can access relevant device information from the phone itself.

The update also expands Samsung's Scam Detection capabilities, giving more Galaxy users additional protection against potentially fraudulent calls.
